Our Pit display
This is the final model of our primary car for regionals. The sidepods to allow airflow more effectively around the car, as well as maintaining to regulation and the payload.
This is our pit display that we used in regionals. The main change from the previous design is the lack of angled walls, this allows our pit display to be more open as the walls are taking minimal space. On the right wall high up, a race-track style. These feature all prototypes and final designs of our cars.

Making our own model block using recycled egg boxes
This year, we improved on our last design, going with egg boxes rather than paper, We collected empty egg boxes that were donated to us by students and even managed to mill part of the car in it however it wasn't strong enough to support part of it.

Results
1st Place award:
With the hard work of all on the team, We won the regional's competition 1st place and a spot in the nationals.
Best Portfolio of All classes award:
This makes our second portfolio Award after last year's dev class award. While we are sad that we were limited to one award considering all the work we put into the pit display, we are glad to see another award on our list.

How to make your own model block.
1) Dampen the egg boxes in water
2) break egg boxes into smaller chunks ensuring you compact the paste
3) Blend the chunks into paste while adding pva glue
4) stuff the egg box paste into the mould
5) After a day, take out of mould and place to dry
