2023-24 Dev class

This is the final model of our primary car. The body interacts with the front wing and sidepods to allow airflow effectively over the car, as well as maintaining our classic C-Racing colour scheme and decals. This design, like the previous one, will involve the main sponsor logos down the sides, alongside our school logo on the top of the car.

Old Pit display

This is our final pit display design that we are now in the process of constructing and creating the graphics for. The main change from the previous design is the angled walls, this allows our pit display to be more inviting and easier to read as the walls aren’t at harsh angles. In the middle of the track there is now race-style podium. These will feature prototypes and the final design of our car. In this model we also included the positioning for our portfolios.
Planting tree's
Using the profits from the Christmas Fair, we reinvested the money into our school community by buying and planting a range of trees along with AA Salts who donated their own to be planted. This also allowed us to make up for the wood we used in our pit display, allowing us to be a carbon neutral team.
Sustainability

Making our own model block using recycled paper
To be sustainable, we used recycled paper from our school bins to mold and make a model block for a prototype car.

Results:

Best Portfolio award of all classes:
Unfortunately, while we didn't place top 3, or make it to nationals. we did achieve the portfolio award for all classes

9th / 28th:
We have a lot to work on to improve on our score, however we believe we did well for our first attempt.

Poor car performance:
Due to our lack of focus on the car, the final car ended up being highly illegal along with slow, getting us 20th out of 28th which is not a good thing
